Immersive Summer Ballet Programs For Youth and Pre-Professional Dancers

Our summer ballet programs are open to ages 4-20 and provide a comprehensive training experience that goes beyond regular classes. Younger dancers thrive in our week-long summer programs designed to build a lasting love and appreciation for dance while furthering their ballet vocabulary and technique. Aspiring pre-professional dancers will take daily technique class along with a selection of master classes including choreography, modern, yoga, and more. With personalized attention and a focus on technique, our students can experience exponential growth in their skills and artistry over the course of the program.

PVB’s faculty have danced with premier companies and universities such as Ballet Florida, Colorado Ballet, Julliard Dance Ensemble, Connecticut Ballet Theater, Jacob’s Pillow, Berkshire Ballet, the University of Massachusetts, Smith College, and Dean College, among others. Students gain exposure to different teaching styles and perspectives to enhance their growth as dancers and broaden their understanding of the art form.

Youth Division

1 Week “Favorite Ballets” Program for Ages 4 – 6
July 28 – July 31 | Monday – Thursday 9am – 12pm

The perfect summer camp for beginners! Twirl like the Sugar Plum Fairy or leap like the Nutcracker while learning the foundations of ballet movement to music. Our Camp for littles will introduce children to favorite characters from classic ballets such as Swan Lake, The Little Mermaid, and The Nutcracker. Classes include creative movement, arts & crafts, and imaginative exploration along with beginning ballet technique.

$275/wk 

 

1 Week “Favorite Ballets” Program for Ages 7 – 9
Aug 4 – Aug 7 | Monday – Thursday 9am – 12pm

Dive into the story of classic ballets like Swan Lake and The Nutcracker while learning new movements and combinations. Young dancers can expand their technique while exploring complementary dance forms, arts & crafts, and music appreciation. Beginners are welcome!

Students may register for select weeks or the full program.
$275/wk

Pre-Professional Division

1 Week Intermediate Program for Ages 9 – 12
July 21 – July 24 | Monday – Thursday 9am – 12pm

This one week program is appropriate for intermediate dancers and will focus on technique and preparing for pointe work. Core classes will be supplemented by other diverse disciplines to support the versatility of today’s dancer. This program provides a great opportunity to enhance technique and prepare for the Fall season and performances.

$350/wk

 

3 Week Advanced Program for Ages 12 and Up
July 21 – August 7 | Monday – Thursday 9am – 3pm

An immersive dance experience for dedicated students desiring more rigorous dance study. This intensive is appropriate for advanced and pre-advanced dancers. Students will take daily technique and pointe classes, along with a variety of master classes such as modern, partnering, choreography, yoga, floor barre, and more. Outdoor activities are included when possible, such as walking workouts on the Manhan rail trail, outdoor yoga, pilates, and modern classes, and daily picnic lunches. *Placement class required for non-PVB students.

Students may register for select weeks or the full program. $475/wk or $1200 full program
