Introducing Dance to Schools And Community Groups In The Pioneer Valley
At PVB, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for all children to experience the magic of dance and movement.
Pioneer Valley Ballet has created and designed the following
learning opportunities for the local community.
Please reach out to develop@pioneervalleyballet.org for more information.
Educational Performance
WHAT:
60-75 minute programs guided by experienced educators/dancers. Students explore the setting, characters, and ballet story lines through the medium of dance in a performance space.
HOW:
Students learn how narratives are brought to life onstage with choreography, music, costume and set design, and makeup. Pre-professional and professional dancers perform captivating excerpts from the production and students may be invited onstage to demonstrate scenes from the ballet. This program culminates in a lively question and answer period followed by a meet and greet with dancers.
