35TH ANNIVERSARY NUTCRACKER AND BEAUTY & THE BEAST
(Easthampton) – Pioneer Valley Ballet is pleased to announce Season 2013-2014. The 35th Anniversary Nutcracker will perform December 13-15, 2013. Beauty & The Beast will perform March 29 & 30, 2014. Both productions perform at the Academy of Music in Northampton and are directed and choreographed by Pioneer Valley Ballet’s Co-Artistic Directors Thomas Vacanti and Maryanne Kodzis.

The Nutcracker, performed by Pioneer Valley Ballet for thirty-five years, is a classic story creatively brought to life with original choreography, scrumptious costumes, and opulent sets. Clara chases her brother, the Sugarplum Fairy soars, and sweet candies prance their way through children’s dreams. This 35th Anniversary staging is a not-to-be-missed holiday tradition.
Auditions for children 4.5 – 12 years are September 14, 2013. Adults and advanced dancers (en pointe) should contact the studio for audition information.
Beauty & The Beast

A moving ballet based on the fairy tale by the Brothers’ Grimm, Beauty & The Beast follows the story of a young woman who discovers the true meaning of love in an unexpected place. Full of whimsy and magic, the original choreography is created by Pioneer Valley Ballet’s Artistic Directors, Maryanne Kodzis and Thomas Vacanti
