Roles Available for Children ages 4.5 – 12
The Nutcracker are being held on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Children aged 4.5 – 12 are invited to audition and play a role in PVB’s annual production of The Nutcracker.
(Easthampton) – Pioneer Valley Ballet is pleased to announce auditions for Unique to the region, Pioneer Valley Ballet’s community productions include both dancers from the community, PVB students, and professionals. This year, our local dancers will share the stage with Guest Artists from Carolina Ballet, Jan Burkhard and Pablo Javier Perez, who will dance the roles of the Sugarplum Fairy and Cavalier.
The Nutcracker, performed by Pioneer Valley Ballet for thirty-five years, is a classic story creatively brought to life with original choreography, scrumptious costumes, and opulent sets. Clara chases her brother, the Sugarplum Fairy soars, and sweet candies prance their way through children’s dreams. This 35th Anniversary staging is a not-to-be-missed holiday tradition.
Roles include Reindeer, Angels, Gingerbread, Party Children, Fleur, and Candy Canes. Auditions are held at Pioneer Valley Ballet, 116 Pleasant St, Easthampton on Saturday, September 14 beginning at 10:30am.
